Checker Suspended by Commission After Arrest for Unlawful Possession of Cocaine and Prescription Drugs.
April 3, 2012
Checker Jason Valenti was suspended today by Commission action after his arrest for two counts of Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substances (cocaine and prescription medications) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Valenti and a companion were found in possession of cocaine, Roxicodone and Altram by the Freehold Police. The matter is being prosecuted by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
The Commission issued a Notice of Hearing against Valenti charging him with possession of controlled dangerous substances, as well as failure to notify the Commission of his arrest and having committed fraud, deceit and misrepresentation in connection with his original application as a checker. Valenti is temporarily suspended pending the outcome of his administrative hearing on those charges.
