WATERFRONT COMMISSION OF NEW YORK HARBOR ISSUES RESOLUTION DIRECTING STAFF TO REVIEW REGULATORY FRAMEWORK FOR WAREHOUSES

           Today, New Jersey Commissioner Michael Murphy and New York Commissioner Ronald Goldstock issued a resolution directing Commission staff to review the current regulatory framework for warehouses in the Port of New York district and, no later than ninety (90) days of the date of the Resolution, develop and propose regulatory amendments that will address the concerns of warehouse operators and representatives of the commercial real estate industry regarding the scope of the Commission’s jurisdiction and the applicability of the Waterfront Commission Act to their members.
