Maintenance Man Suspended by Commission Action After Arrest for Eight Counts of Assault in the Second Degree and Driving While Intoxicated

Maintenance Man Vincent Ferrara has been suspended by the Waterfront Commission after his arrest on Eight Counts of Assault in the Second Degree and Driving While Intoxicated. The Criminal Court Complaint charges that Ferrara operated his vehicle while intoxicated and struck four pedestrians causing serious physical injuries to each of them. The criminal case is being prosecuted by the Richmond County District Attorney's Office.
The Commission today issued a Notice of Hearing against Ferrara and he is temporarily suspended pending the outcome of his administrative hearing on those charges.
