Longshoreman Suspended by Commission after Arrest for Conspiracy to Smuggle Two Tons of Cocaine.

On May 3, 2011, Dominick Guido, a longshoreman at APM, was temporarily suspended pending an administrative hearing by the Waterfront Commission after his arrest for Conspiracy to Distribute more than two tons of Cocaine through the Port of New York. Guido was arrested on April 27, 2011, and charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine. The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of ten (10) years and a maximum sentence of life in prison.  The criminal case is being prosecuted by the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
