Checker Suspended from Waterfront After Indictment for Endangering the Welfare of a Child

July 8, 2019

Today the Commission suspended Checker Anthony Terracciano and issued a Notice of Hearing. Terracciano, 47, of Cliffwood, NJ, has worked on the waterfront since 1994. Terracciano was suspended after a Monmouth County Grand Jury returned an indictment against Terracciano for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(2), a second degree offense. The charges arise from allegations that on March 13, 2019, Terracciano, while driving under the influence of a narcotic, hit a mail box and light pole while a seven year old child was in his car. The indictment is pending in the Monmouth County Superior Court.
