LONGSHOREMAN SUSPENDED AFTER ARREST FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS
June 01, 2016
Today, longshoreman Ramon Concepcion was suspended and a Notice of Hearing was issued after he was arrested in Paramus, New Jersey for Sexual Assault, a second degree crime. The Notice of Hearing alleges that Concepcion sexual assaulted the alleged victim on numerous occasions in or about 2015 and 2016. The Notice of Hearing charges that Concepcion’s presence at the piers or other waterfront terminals in the Port of New York district represents a danger to the public peace or safety.
The Commission temporarily suspended Concepcion’s registration as a longshoreman pending the outcome of an Administrative Hearing. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the criminal matter.
