Longshoreman Suspended by Commission Action after Arrest for Assault by Auto

Longshoreman Joseph A. Favuzza has been suspended by the Waterfront Commission after his arrest for Assault by Auto and Driving Under the Influence. Favuzza was arrested in Old Bridge, New Jersey for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and causing serious bodily injury to a female passenger in his car by refusing to stop and dragging her along the roadway as she attempted to exit his automobile. The criminal case is being prosecuted by the Middlesex Prosecutor’s Office.
The Commission today issued a Notice of Hearing against Favuzza and he is temporarily suspended pending the outcome of his administrative hearing on those charges.
